In 2 parts, early C18 and late C18. Considerable alterations and additions.
Limestone rubble, coursed. Modern pantile roof with 3 brick chimneys. Ashlar
quoins. Plinth. Coved eaved cornice. North front 2 storeys, 1 window on
each floor, formerly glazing bar sashes, moulded architraves with pulvinated
frieze and moulded flat cornice over. Studded door to right with moulded jambs
and lintel, and segmental stone hood on cut stone brackets.
Catslide extension to right of door with one original architrave window to
return and later windows to front of gabled stair turret (this has a 2 light
mullion window with ovolo mouldings to west).
Garden front 3 storeys. Two windows on each floor, 2 light windows with square
mullions, edge-roll type, and moulded architraves on ground and 1st floors;
large openings. Two light ovolo mullion windows to second floor,lacking mullion
to left. Fine stone shell hood doorway to right - ovolo jambs hood on acanthus
leaf enriched folded scroll brackets. Studded door. Straight joint to left.
Lower 2 storey extension to south-east with one range of 2 light mullion windows
(edge-roll type) to right of centre and blocked doorway to right. To rear,
this wing has on 1st floor a 2 and 3 light window and on ground floor below
a 3 light window, also a 2 -light similar window next to doorway with chamfered
reveals.
Interior: Ground floor south-west room has bolection moulded corner fireplace
on both ground and 1st floors (1830s grate 1st floor). Some panelling in eastern
half.
