House. Circa early C18. Rendered and painted stone rubble with slate roof with
gable ends and asbestos slate on rear elevation. C20 brick chimney stack on right-
hand gable end.
Probably double depth plan with 2 reception rooms on front and 2 smaller service
rooms to rear.
2 storeys regular 2-window front with left-hand side partly obscured by later
adjoining building. Ground floor with tall narrow C19 12-pane sash on left abutting
adjoining property on front left, C20 4-panel door with moulded cornice and slate
hood and C19 20-pane hornless sash to right with crown glass and exposed moulded sash
box. First floor with 2 similar sashes to those on ground floor. Eaves cornice of
timber, elaborately carved with Doric frieze of high quality.
Rear elevation rendered with C20 fenestration and C20 dormers inserted.
Interior not accessible but the quality of carving of the eaves cornice may possibly
indicate further interesting features within.
