House. C17, refronted and extended c.1750 with C19 and C20 alterations and
additions. Rubble, rough cast stone dressings, double Roman tiled roof with
coped verges and brick gable stacks, pantiled roof to C19 lower rear wing.
L-plan with additions. Garden front of 2 storeys and 5 windows, all C19 2-pane
sashes in moulded architraves with keystones, central panelled and glass door in
moulded architrave with triple keystone and pediment on brackets; cornice
returned a short distance at sides, conservatory to south side. North side has
round-headed stair window at 1st floor with Gothic intersecting glazing bars and
sash in revealed box, irregular C19 windows and C20 doors, south side (to road)
has gable end of C18 block, 2 storeys, 3 windows, all C19 4-pane sashes in plain
reveals with cills, porch to right with C20 double outer doors and inner fielded
and panelled door with transom light with fan glazing bars. Interior:
shutters and dado panelling, cellars under part.
