Farmhouse with attached stable, now house. C17 with later alterations and
additions including later C17 rear wing and C18 attached stable. Rubble,
rendered, double Roman, pantiled roofs, stable has slates at front and
corrugated asbestos at rear, stacks with brick upper section at east gable and
to left of centre. L-plan, former through passage. 2 storeys and 4 windows,
all 2 and 3-light C20 casements, 2-storey porch with hipped roof in 2nd bay from
right with C20 door in cambered head, C20 single storey extensions to south
front and south side, buttress to right; C19 rubble 2-bay stable wing to rear
south has loading door at upper level and door under timber lintel and gauged
brick relieving arch, north side of main block has 2-light window in gable with
chamfered mullion. Rear has gable with large external stack at north end,
window replaces through passage door, 2 windows at 1st floor and 2 at ground,
all C20 casements except ground right with chamfered mullions and early C19
fittings. C17 rear wing 2 storeys and one window, all C20, straight joint
between wing and stable. Interior: front north room has C18 shell recess and
shelves, boxed beams, moulded door frames in hall and straight stair to rear
left of passage with square panelling at side.
