House. C16 origin, with later reworkings. Timber framed construction with
colourwashed roughcast render, gable end of E bloc partly rebuilt in
colourwashed brick. Mostly clay tiled roofs, some C20 tiles. T-plan, main
block of 2 storeys, E block of one storey and attics. N elevation (towards
road): RH gable has one sash window each to ground and first floors, both
with moulded flush frames and glazing bars. LH block has one single light and
one 2-light casement to ground floor with sash window in gabled dormer to
attic. Lean to porch within angle has 6-panel door under flat bracketed hood.
W elevation: ground floor has 2 flush sashes with glazing bars flanking small
single lights. Main block has central ridge stack with rebuilt diagonal
shafts and external brick stack to S end. E block has integral brick stack to
gable end. Interior: main block has dressed stone chimney-breast to ground
floor. First floor room of main block has imported panelling, mainly
linenfold, with oddments of Jacobean panels.
