GV II Abbey Courtyard)
Statue. Circa 1700 by J V Legterin (floruit 1685-1708). Ashlar, blackened at
a later date to imitate lead. Stands on rectangular ashlar plinth with
moulded base and cap. Statue and plinth together stand approximately 3 metres
high. Shows standing figure of Apollo in classical draperies holding lyre in
R hand. Forms a group with items 10/145, 10/146 and 10/147, which depict
Adonis, Juno and Diana.
