House, now 2 dwellings. C16 or earlier house and crosswing with C17 and later
alterations and extensions. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof,
house roof to right with ½ hip and gablet and gabled dormer. 2 storeys and
attics. 1:4 window range of various small paned vertical sliding sashes
including 3 light central windows. Two C20 doors, in C18 surrounds with narrow
light under moulded flat canopies. There is a raised band at first floor level.
One external red brick chimney stack to right and one off centre to left and
one to crosswing ridge. One of the Manor sites of Stebbing. Moated site.
