Gremlin Cottage

A Grade II Listed Building in Little Dunmow, Essex

Re thatch

Uploader's Comments

The cottage was re thatched in the early 1970,s by a retired thatcher aged 80 who agreed to do this job as his last, entirely alone, very nice chap he was, and was fascinating watching the huge mound of straw that sat on the front lawn, gradually decrease in size, I cannot remember how long it took to complete.
