No. 22 East Chaldon

Detached cottage. Probably C18, may be of earlier origin. Stone walls with brick
details. Thatched roof. Brick stack. Simple two-room plan with single-storey
thatched extension on north. One storey and attic. Ledged door in main house and
one in extension. Ground floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows with
glazing bars. Attic has one dormer with similar sash. Main ground floor room has
large open fireplace with timber lintel, and exposed ceiling beam.
