Pair of semi detached estate cottages. Date stone on front wall, - HCS (for
Sturt) 1844. Brick walls, hipped slate roofs, central brick stack, and one at
rear of each cottage. 2 storeys. Each cottage has a shallow pitched gabled
porch with glazed door in 4 centred arch. On ground floor, each cottage has
one casement with glazing bars under hoodmould and gauged arch. On first
floor, each cottage has 2 similar casements under gauged arches. 2 storeyed
rear additions to each cottage in matching construction; also single storey
extensions, including one with tiled roof, at rear of Old Bakehouse, -
possibly the original bakery.
