House with shop on ground floor. Mid C19 and late C19 alteration.
Roughcast and whitewashed on a stone rubble core, hipped slate roof, 2 brick ridge
stacks, wide eaves.
Plan and development: virtually symmetrical front, with a central staircase hall,
large room to left of ground floor a shop, right room to the ground floor a parlour.
@erior: 2 storeys, 3 bays to first floor, 4-pane sashes in reveals with exposed
sash boxes upon the first floor. On ground floor to left a late C19 double shop
front of 3:3 panes with an ingo , paired three-quarter glazed doors, flanking
pilasters, altered fascia-board, cornice with ornamental wrought-iron cresting; to
centre principal door opening with rusticated surround, 6-panelled late C18 door
with top 2 panels glazed, fanlight with radiating glazing bars, semi-circular head.
Adjacent to the left of this door opening, a small semi-circular head window.
Further door opening to right of front, paired early C19 three-quarter glazed doors,
narrow transom light, ornamental surround with stepped voussoirs.
Interior: room to the right of ground floor with fireplace with a reused moulded C17
bressumer in a small fireplace with rubble jambs. Central hall with the staircase
removed. On first floor a set of late C18 6-panelled doors.
