SX 69 SW BELSTONE BELSTONE

3/21 Tamarisk Cottage including front
garden walls

GV II

Cottage. Probably C18. Granite stone rubble with large roughly-dressed quoins,
plastered to front and lightly incised as ashlar; granite stacks topped with C20
brick; thatch roof.
Plan: 2-room plan cottage facing north-west. Central staircase and end stacks. 2
storeys.
Exterior: Nearly symmetrical 2-window front of late C19 casements with glazing bars
and central doorway contains a contemporary plank door. Roof is gable-ended to
right and runs continously with that of the adjoining Dagworthy Cottage (q.v) to
left.
Interior: was not available for inspection at the time of this survey.
A narrow front garden is separated from the road by a late C19 low granite stone
rubble wall with crenellated coping and monolithic granite gate posts.
