SX 79 NE CHERITON BISHOP

6/4 East Ford Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably late C18. Plastered cob and rubble; rubble stacks topped
with brick; thatched roof half-hipped each side. 2 storeys with double depth plan
oil 2 rooms front and back. End stacks serving rear (east-facing) rooms only.
Central cross passage through front rooms only. Both sides have assymmetrical 3-
window fronts. East facing front (to drive) with central door and C20th porch but
central first floor window left of centre, and west front with secondary door on
left side under thatch-roofed and open sided porch. All windows small late C19 and
C20 wooden casements, mainly 2-lights. Interior has plain carpentry and fittings.
