2 houses, formerly 1 dwelling, standing at the end of a row. Late 1830s, but
possibly retaining an earlier core. Cob, stone plinth, rendered under gabled-end
slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys.
Front: 3-window range under overhanging eaves and gutter box. All windows (3 to
both floors) with two 10-pane hornless sashes. 2 entrances, the main one to the
right with pediment and architrave, panelled reveals and door (with glazed upper
panels); plain C20 doorway to left. 3 stacks with brick shafts just to the rear
of roof ridge. Left-hand end (to Hen Street) with scattered C19 and C20
fenestration. Interior not inspected. This building occupies an important site at
the foot of Fore Street.
