Farmhouse now private house. Mid C19 incorporating late C17 house. Roughcast
walls with string course and angle pilasters, on chamfered plinth. Graduated
greenslate roof with coped gables; cement rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3
bays with lower rear right-angled original 2-bay house and rear mid C19
staircase extension. Double panelled door with overlight within later Tuscan
porch. Sash windows in painted stone surrounds under shaped cornices on
ground-floor. Older part has blocked chamfered doorway, now window, with lintel
dated and inscribed J (?) W 1734 and at either side I&EA (Alison) 1694. 2-light
blocked chamfered C17 window above. Right panelled door in C20 plain opening.
Sash windows in C19 stone surrounds. Neighbouring farmer has photograph of
house without the Tuscan porch.
