Farmhouse and barn now private house and garage. Late C17 with C20 additions
and alterations. Rendered slate rubble walls, under graduated greenslate roof
with cement rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with right barn under
common roof. Centre C19 top-glazed door in chamfered stone surround within C20
glazed porch. Further right C20 door in plain opening into cross passage. 2-
and 3-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows, with 2 blocked similar
single-light windows. Barn has C20 sliding garage door and one slit vent. Rear
doorway has chamfered surround and lintel inscribed and dated I&ER LORR 1690.
2-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows on stair extension. Further rear 1943
2-storey, single-bay extension. Interior has boxed-in beams in each room.
Upper-floor fireplace has plaster hood inscribed and dated I & E R 1692.
Ground-floor rear room has built-in panelled bread cupboard, which has been
moved from another part of the house, dated and inscribed I & MH 1690 (this does
not correspond with the other initials so is probably imported).
