House. Circa mid C17, with alterations of C19 and C20. Slatestone rubble, painted.
Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles; gable end to left and hipped to right. Gable

Plan: 2-room plan, with nearly central entrance and room to right and left, each room
originally heated from an end stack. The house is built into the rear. The entrance
passage is unusually wide, with a straight stair inserted in circa C19.
Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical 2-window front. At ground and first floor to
left and right a late C19 4-pane sash. Off centre to right is a C20 half-glazed door
with overlight, set in a C20 porch which is in course of construction at time of
survey (December 1987). At the left end, there is a small 2-pane window to the
cellar; ground floor has C20 4-pane window to right and first floor has smaller
window to right. The external stack has slate weathering at the left side. The
right end has small C20 window at ground floor to right and C20 2-light casement at
first floor. At the rear there is a C20 2-light casement at ground floor and smaller
C20 2-light casement at first floor. There is a C20 plank door to the cellar to
right.
Inferior: Not fully inspected. The room to right has C19 ceiling beams and the room
to left is ceiled. The house appears to have been much altered circa mid - late C19.
