G.V. II

House. Probably mid C17 with C18 extension and C19 alterations. Whitewashed
clay walls, raised in height with clay; extension of whitewashed sandstone
rubble. Welsh slate roof, brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with
2-storey, 2-bay extension at right-angles to rear, kitchen lean-to to left. C20
door in brick surround. C20 windows in brick surrounds. Original fire window
to left has chamfered painted stone surround. Rear has 2 plank doors in painted
stone surrounds. 2-pane sash windows in painted stone surrounds. Interior:
stone heck post and partition with original fire beam; probably remains of a
fire hood. Settle-back, now removed to cellar, is dated 1659. Listed partly
for G.V. with Greenwood House.
