Private house now bank. Early 1860's. Painted incised stucco with plinth,
string courses and angle pilaster to right. Slate roof without chimney stacks.
2 storeys with attic, 2 bays. C20 door in recessed stucco surround with window
above in similar surround. Ground floor casement windows in stucco surrounds
First floor left, casement window with glazing bars under console bracketed
cornice on pilaster strips. Round-headed casement window above, under shaped
string course. Casement window to right in chamfered surround with similar
smaller attic window above. Plaque commemorates Kathleen Ferrier, contralto
1912-1953, who lived here 1936-41. Listed partly for G.V. with Longcake's and
The Golf Hotel.
