Count house to South Wheal Frances Mine, now house. Mid to later C19; altered.
Killas rubble brought to courses, with granite quoins and dressings, slate roof.
Long rectangular plan, with modern additions to rear. Two storeys and 1:3:1 bays,
symmetrical; 3-bay centre breaking forwards slightly has modern flat-roofed
porch in centre, short 4-pane sashed windows each side, and 3 tall windows at
1st floor, the centre altered as French window and the others sashed without
glazing bars; outer bays have short coupled 4-pane sashes at ground floor, taller
4-pane sashes above; all these windows have raised sills, quoined jambs, and
rectangular lintels. Ridge chimney stacks at the junctions, and gable chimneys.
Interior: very long full-width room in centre. Included for group value with group
of former mine buildings at Marriott's shaft approx. 200 metres north west.
