Tin mining engine house, probably associated with former crushing and
dressing plant, now derelict. Probably late C19. Coursed granite rubble and
some killas, with quoins, bob wall of granite blocks, window arches of
brick, chimney of uncoursed rubbble and brick; now roofless. Built on a
raised terrace running east-west, overlooking former dressing floor on north
side. Rectangular plan on north-south axis with bob-wall to north,
foundations of former winding drum or fly-wheel in front of this, and
circular chimney attached at south-east corner. Three stages, with round-
headed doorways and window openings, and some tie-plates. Tapered
cylindrical chimney with no cornice at junction to brick stage, most of
which is missing. The foundations of the winding gear, which are of large
granite blocks, project into the lower dressing floor. History not known at
time of suvey, but north side of dressing floor has long concrete wall with
doorway lettered "W.G.", medallion to the east with shield lettered:-
1900 "ONE AND ALL"
and another to the west lettered:-
