House, now house and hairdresser's shop. Said to be c.1840; altered.
Granite rubble brought to courses, with granite quoins, asbestos tile roof.
Rectangular double-depth plan. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical, with
central panelled door, 12-pane unhorned sashed windows with exposed boxes
and quoined surrounds; hipped roof with projecting eaves, side-wall
chimneys. Small single-storey wing set back at each end, that on the right
now the shop. Rear has inter alia a round-headed stairwindow. Interior:
doglegged staircase with open string, scrolled brackets, stick balusters; 2
marble fireplaces with consoles to the mantel shelf. History: said to have
been built as manse to Tuckingmill Wesley Chapel Chapel Road, CARN
BREA, q.v.). Forms group with Nos.21 and 23 to left and Nos.27 and 29 to
right.
