House. c.1840, altered. Lime plaster on rubble, slate roof. Rectangular double-
depth plan under 2-span roof. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical (exept for
chimney); plinth, band, channelled corner pilasters; central glazed and panelled
door with overlight, protected by wooden porch with fluted columns and pilasters,
very shallow semi-elliptical arches and flat roof; 16-pane sashed windows with
raisedsillsand plain reveals. Hipped roof with front-wall chimney to the right,
side-wall chimney to the left. Right-hand side and rear walls covered at ground
floor by modern conservatory; rear has inter alia a 2-centred arched stair-
window with intersecting glazing bars. Interior: moulded plaster cornices; dog-
legged staircase with open string, scrolled brackets, stick balusters and mahogany
handrail.
