Chest tomb and 2 headstones. Probably C18 chest tomb, one headstone 1812 the other headstone 1827. Dressed granite chest tomb with later dressed granite lid obscuring the original lid and incised slate monolith headstones.
Rectangular-on-plan chest with a headstone at either end (west and east).
The chest tomb has plain sides and a moulded lid; the headstone at the west end has a segmental-arched head and the other headstone has a round-arched head over moulded corners.
The chest tomb inscription is obscured by the later lid.
West headstone inscription to : JOHN, SON OF CATHERINE RICHARDS, who was wounded in the Mine by the fall of a piece of Wood, which entered his bowels; who after
surviving several Hours, terminated his existence on the 10th day of July 1912 aged 22 years.
East headstone inscription to : JOSEPH GUNDERY, died 1827 aged 57, and the epitaph:
Beneath this stone lies silent in the dust
A husband dear that in the Lord did trust,
Till the last trump shall sound and bid him rise,
To meet his Blessed Jesus in the skies
