Guide post. Circa early C19. Partly painted dressed granite, the incised lettering painted black and the background painted white.
Triangular-on-plan. Tall straight-sided shaft with pyramidal head. Inscribed on 2 sides, under each inscription a black-pointing hand and under the upper hands, black painted paragraph terminations. Crudely carved Roman letters.
The left hand side inscribed : HELSTON with hand pointing to right, PENZANCE BREAGE with hand pointing to left. The right hand side inscribed SITHNEY with hand pointing right and PENROSE with with hand pointing to the left.
Ordnance survey bench mark at lower right.
