Chest tomb. Circa 1807. Granite. The chest is made of large granite slabs and has
a cavetto moulded plinth and lid. Inset into the top of the lid there is a slate
plate inscribed in upper and lower case with serifs and italics. In memory of John
and Mary Midlen who both died in 1807 and their son and daughter Thomas and Catherine
who died in 1823 and 1841 respectively.
