Building, possibly detached vestry. Circa late C19 incorporating late medieval
doorway (possibly C16) and circa late C16 or early C17 door. Killas rubble with
granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with plain barge boards at the gable ends.
Crested and plain clay ridge tiles.
Plan: Small single cell plan with doorway at the front gable end.
Exterior: Single storey. Front (west) gable has possibly late C15 or C16 central 4-
centred hollow chamfered doorway with steep pyramid stops (possibly reused from the
church). The door is 4 panels wide and 3 panels high; the stiles, muntins and rails
are moulded and studded and the tympanum panels are inscribed with the Roman letters
RPJT. The only former rector whose name possibly fits the initials is John
Trevilian, rector in 1586.
