House with adjoining cottage. Probably C18. Painted rubble and some cob to upper
part of front wall of cottage. Wheat reed thatched roof sweeping lower behind house.
Rubble axial stack with brick shaft, over party wall, brick chimney over right-hand
gable end.
Plan: Original house (right) has 2 rooms at the front flanking a central entrance
and probably 2 shallow service rooms in integral outhshut at rear. Slightly later
cottage (left) has probably one full depth room and entrance on its left. C20 lean-
to at far left.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall 3 window south front. Original house (right) has
slightly irregular 2-window front with central doorway. C20 door. Circa late C19 or
C20 4-pane horned sashes to ground floor, C20 12-pane 2-light casements to first
floor. Cottage (left) has similar windows and an old ledged door on the far left.
