House, now converted to a convalescent home. Circa later C18, on the site
of an older house, extended circa late C19 early C20 and later in the C20. Killas rubble walls with some granite dressings. Asbestos slate roofs.
Fairly steep half-hipped roof over C18 part.
Plan: Original C18 house is double-depth plan with probably 2 rooms at the
front flanking a central entrance hall leading to stair hall between rear
service rooms. On the left is a circa late C19 addition, on the right, a
large circa early C20 addition. Various later C20 additions.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Original house has symmetrical 3-window front with
central doorway. Original openings spanned by flat arches with granite
voussoirs. C20 6-panel door and pedimented porch. Circa late C19 or C20
4-pane horned sashes. C19 and early C20 additions have most of their
original features.
