SW 84 32 ST JUST IN ROSELAND LOWER CASTLE LANE (north side),
St Mawes

3 houses, originally 2. C18, with circa early C20 cottage ornee remodelling.
Pebbledash over slatestone rubble or cob. Wheat reed thatched roof with 2 raking
dormer gables and gable and axial brick. Originally 2 similar 2 room, single depth
cross passage plans. Right house is now 2 cottages. 2 storeys. 5 window front,
originally 2 window nearly symmetrical front with central doorway, now replaced with
thatch roofed bay window left and doorway slightly to right with domed thatched
roofed porch on granite posts. Further similar bay window in original door position
of left house. All windows with circa early C20 leaded glazing and some coloured
glass incorporated in right bay window a possibly medieval fragment said to be of
Saint Anthony.
