SW 84 SW KEA COOMBE

2/137 Turnapenny

GV II

Small house. Circa late C18 to early C19 and extended C20. Painted slatestone
rubble and cob walls, wooden lintels and slate sills. Corrugated asbestos roof
sweeping slightly lower to rear with brick chimneys over original gable ends.
Chimney to right (north east) over large external breast with quadrant oven
projection to rear.
2-room central stair plan plus 1-room C20 addition to left with further C20 room to
rear making L-shape overall.
2 storeys. Overall 6-window south east front of original symmetrical 3-window front
plus 1-window C20 addition, left. Original part has central doorway with C20 top-
glazed door and small C20 open gabled porch. All original 16-pane hornless sashes.
Extension, left, has wide 2-light casement with glazing bars, to ground and first
floor.
