Pair of attached houses. Mid C19 with some later alterations. Slatestone rubble.
Slate roof with gable ends and ridge tiles; gable end stacks in rubble with limestone
quoins.
Plan: Each house of 2-room plan with central entrance; Lanes End to left the Retreat
to right.
Exterior: Each house of 2 storeys; each with plain central door with stone voussoirs,
2 light casement to left and right, the outer casements being larger. At first floor
there is a small 9-pane light above the door, with a 2-light 6-pane casement to outer
side. At ground floor the inner casements are 8-panes each light with L hinges,
others later replacements.
Interior: Not inspected.
