II
House. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Painted slatestone rubble ; the upper level
at the front with painted slate-hanging. Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and
gable ends. Gable end stacks with rubble shafts with shaped tops. Slurried scantle
slate roof to the addition to right.
Plan: 2-room plan, with entrance directly into the room to right, with a larger room
to left, each heated from a gable end stack. 2-storey addition at the right end,
unheated, probably as a dairy with loft over. Single storey outshut along the whole
of the rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front ; the first floor has 2 early C20 2-
light casements and central blind window. Ground floor has central half-glazed C20
door, similar 2-light casement to right and left. Set back to right is the lower 2-
storey addition, with gable end ; 6-pane light at first floor to front. Left end
blind. Outshut to rear has C20 door at the left side. Right end blind with C20
porch. At the rear the single storey outshut is in rubble, with 3 C20 windows.
