Garden walls to east
and south of Morton's
II G.V. House
Garden wall to Morton'sHouse (q.v). Probably Cl7.Rubblestone with one pair of brick
gatepiers. Wall is L-shaped on plan, approx. 2 metres high, thicker at base and with
rounded top. The east wall has a blocked entranceway flanked by brick piers with
moulded-edged capstones and later rubblestone buttresses. The south wall has two
entrances, each flanked by rubblestone piers with table-stones below and above the
truncated pyramidal capstone.
