Farmhouse, late C17, raised in C18 (No.1), and late C18 farm cottage (No.2).
Coursed sandstone rubble; dressed sandstone to farm cottage and raised first
floor of farmhouse. Clay pantile roof with stone gable coping and
block kneeler at right end. 2 storeys. No.1: 2 windows. Doorway to left
holding mid C20 door under keyed lintel. Rubble plinth. Mid C20 casements
in original openings with keyed lintels and painted stone sills. Blocked
early/mid C19 doorway to right. Rebuilt ridge stack. Contemporary pent,
single-storey outhouse adjoins right return. No.2, adjoining left, one
window and blocked doorway to right; now entered from rear. Mid C20
casements in original openings with keyed lintels and painted sills.
Rebuilt stack to left. Later lean-to extensions to rear and institutional
building adjoining left end, are not of interest.
