House and shop. Mid C.18, with evidence of a much earlier structure contained in inner party wall (i.e. late medieval chamfered window surrounds). May incorporate stonework recovered from St. Mary's Priory. Dressed sandstone, rendered and painted on front (W) elevation. Late C.20 clay pantile roof. 3 storeys. Late C.19 square shop bay window with heavy modillion cornice; doorway to R.H.S. Sash window with glazing bars to first floor. Yorkshire sash with glazing bars to second floor. Painted quoins to L.H.S. Originally part of a terrace which extended across the E. side of Market Place, of which Nos. 1, 3 and 5 were demolished in th 1960's. The gable end of No.7 has therefore, been faced in dressed sandstone and has the truncated remains of a projecting flue. The listing includes the late C.18 3-storey brick and pantile building adjoining S.E. side, fronting onto Church Street.
