Pair of cottages. Late C.18. Chevron dressed sandstone, on stone
plinth. Clay pantile roof to No.51, mid C.20 concrete tiles to
No.53; stone ridge and gable copings; 2 stacks. 2 storeys, 3
bays. Paired central. doorways with simple moulded stone
architraves and keystones inscribed: "T.S.". All windows altered
from Yorkshire sashes; and ground floor window to No.53 are slightly
enlarged. Painted stone sills and keystones. Moulded stone eaves
cornice.
