Stables to Davenport Hayes (q.v.) now house. Dated on datestone with
cherub in relief to top and inscription C B H.
1733
Converted to present use in 1975. Whitewashed English garden,wall
bond brick with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Road front: five bays
in A.A.B.A.A. rhythm. Central projecting bay with two-storey
semi-circular relieving arch projecting into pediment. Cambered
headed arch to ground floor originally surrounding double doors but
now glazed with hanging porch over front door. Pitch hole above now a
porthole window set below the semi-circular arch. Cambered headed
datestone above arch at apex. Stable doors to either side, now
replaced by C20 windows and to right of centre a sliding glass door.
Square C20 windows to first floor in former pitch holes. Corbel table
below eaves. C20 chimney stack to right hand gable end. C20
additions to rear.
