Farmhouse, probably early C18 or before, altered. White-rendered brick with grey slate
gabled roofs in two parallel ridges. The house is of 2 storeys with 3 windows on the
longest (left) side. Altered door in painted stone case with open Tuscan pediment on
cnnsole brackets, in right front gable wall. The left ridge has a chimney at each gable
and one, larger, left of centre. Coped gables with kneelers. Recessed small-pane sashes
to front and left (garden) side. Windows to the right (farmyard) side altered at various
periods. Interior: six-panel doors on both floors. Thick internal walls. Changes of
level between upper rooms (and window levels) suggest successive alterations and
extensions. The stair, of one main flight, has an open, shaped string, square balusters,
2 per step, and a shaped and swept handrail of hardwood, painted.
