Milestone. 1730. Stone, painted white with black lettering and
Roman numerals. Domed top badly worn and mutilated. Shield of
arms of Trinity Hall, Cambridge above inscription "V MILES TO
CAMBRIDGE AD MDCCXXX" and a hand with a pointing finger. One of
the milestones set up under the Trust founded to administer a
bequest from Dr Mowse, Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge 1552-3,
for the upkeep of the highways in and about Cambridge.
