13/61 College Farmhouse

House, formerly a farmhouse. c.1600 with early C18
alterations. Timber framed and plastered with painted C18 soft
red brick, and local C17 brick. Plain tile roofs. Two storeys
and one storey and attic, L-plan with parlour in angle rebuilt
in C18 possibly as accommodation for visiting clergy. Late C19
gabled porch in lobby entry position. Two, twenty-paned hung
sash windows and one C19 three-light hung sash window to right
hand. Two first floor twelve-paned hung sash windows. Rebuilt
C17 ridge stack and end stack to right hand with tumbled parapet
gable. Interior. Staircase c.1730 and chimney pieces, one with
Delft tiles, 'qv' The Homestead, High Street, Fen Drayton.
