C17 low 2-storey half timbered house with steep pitched early tiled roof, ridged
brick chimney stacks, 2 hipped dormers. The front is cement rendered and painted.
2 windows to both floors, C18 rush with glazing bars. 3-light canted bay left
of the entrance. Other windows have moulded wooden cases and light cills. Doorcase
has reeded pilasters and flat hood on plain consoles. 6-panel door, top 4 panels
moulded, lower 2 incised.

Nos 36 to 40 (even) Church Street form a group with Stratford House, Mill Lane
and all the listed buildings in the Market Square.
