Circa 1840-50 pair. 2 storeys chequered brick. Low hipped slate roof. Band
between storeys. One window each to main block, recessed glazing bar sashes.
Set back lean-to entrance bays of one window, glazing bar sashes, each floor
and 6 panel door with rectangular fanlight and wood over. Entrance bay of No 189
has been altered. Included for group value in relation to church.
Nos 187, 189, The Church of St Thomas, The Forge and No 436 form a group.
