Includes: No.50 CLOCK STREET Portsea.
House, probably former small public house. Early C19. Painted
brick. Plain tile hipped roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. On right at
junction with Clock Street splayed entrance across corner with
double bowed doors and blind overlight set within early to mid
C19 public house front, windows on left and right of doors
with panelled risers, all framed by Doric pilasters, frieze
and dentil cornice over both fronts. On left plain flush door
then 1 large 10-pane sash 8/2 and 1 small sash under flat
brick arches. Further left boarded door, small C20 window and
C20 door set in garden wall. On first floor two 8-pane sashes
under flat gauged brick arches and to left 1 narrow sash set
under cambered arch. Elevation on right return facing Clock
Street has shallow rectangular oriel with 6-pane wide front
sash and very narrow side sashes, frieze and cornice.
