Detached house. Circa 1820. Plastered cob; thatched hipped and gabled-end roofs.
Regency gentleman's 'cottage' commanding fine views over Exe estuary and beyond. 2
room, central stairhall plan, each room heated by rear lateral stacks, with later
rear extensions. 2 storeys.
Front: Symmetrical 3-window range. 16-pane hornless sashes to all but central
first floor window which has 12 panes. Central slate-roofed lattice-work porch.
Fielded panel door with moulded surround and rectangular fanlight with intersecting
tracery. Hornless sash windows to rear wing; C20 casement windows and French
window to ground floor.
