Goldfinch monument approx 5m W of
Vicarage of Church of St Peter and
St Paul

GV II

Chest tomb. c1820. Ashlar. Recessed fluted pilaster at each
corner with sloping shaft, moulded cap and base set on plinth,
lid capping, weathered top slab. On long south face
inscription reads "Sacred to the memory of John Goldfinch who
departed this life - July 1819", remainder of inscription
illegible. On opposite side inscription reads "Sacred to the
memory of William Goldfinch who departed this life 9th October
1839 in the 76th year of his age". Some ivy growth to
monument.
