Symes Cottage

II

Cottage. Circa C17. White-washed stone rubble. Thatched roof with hipped and half
hipped ends. Two storeys. Three/four window range. Two and three light casements,
some circa C18 with leaded panes. Right hand doorway with plank door and modern
wooden porch. Brick ridge chimney stack off centre. Single storey lean-to at each
end. Interior: Stopped chamfer ceiling beam and fireplace bressummer. Fireplace
has oven with pointed arch opening.
