House. Early C19. Stuccoed and blocked out; rendered end stacks to front of ridge;
slate roof behind parapet.
Double depth 4 room plan with the 2 principal front rooms in either side of a central
stair and service rooms to the rear. C20 flat-roofed single-storey addition at left
end.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front with a moulded cornice and parapet. Tuscan porch
with steps up to a 6-panel front door, top panels glazed, with a semi-circular
fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. First floor windows left and right are
tripartite sashes, the outer lights 4 pane, central light 12-pane; central first
floor window is a 12-pane sash. The ground floor windows are similar to the outer
first floor windows but the vertical glazing bars of the central lights no longer
exist.
A smart early C19 gentleman's house, conspicuous from the road.
