GV II

House. Timber-framed late C16 rear wing and brick front block
added early C19. Facade is rendered and colourwashed. Slate
roof (front), pantiled (rear).
2 storeys. 3-window range. Central studded door beneath
3-vaned fanlight. One mid C19 3-light casement either side
under hood moulds on label stops. 3 similar first-floor
casements, that in centre of two lights. Hipped roof. North
return with late C19 full-height canted bay fitted with 6/6
unhorned sashes. 2-storey rear wing is a 3-window range.
Central plank door and 2- and 3-light C19 casements under
hoods on label stops. External gable-end stack to west.
INTERIOR: stick-baluster staircase with ramped handrail. Rear
wing has bridging beams with sunk-quadrant mouldings. West
wall plate with knuckle braces. Clasped purlin roof with
undiminished principals.
