Garden wall and garden house
approx.45m north-east of Chandos
Lodge

GV II

Garden wall and garden house. Early C19. Garden house of flint
with ashlar dressings and re-used ecclesiastical material.
Pantile roof. One storey. Construction represents extension of
garden wall with lean-to roof to east side. Wide stilted arch
on ashlar jambs to left. Roofed portion includes a re-used
holy water stoup of c1240 on a column. 2 early C14
cinquefoiled windows to right illuminate interior. North
return with plank and muntin door.
Garden wall of red brick laid in Flemish bond. Piers at
intervals. Rounded coping bricks.
